The role of the Social Concerns Committee is to bring forward, highlight, and support social issues important to the congregation and community at large. We are inspired by the United Church’s call for Bold Discipleship and Daring Justice, and we seek to support initiatives that help us fulfill our call.

Projects
The Social Concerns Committee has undertaken projects such as:
Energy-efficiency upgrades for our appliances
Solar panel installation on the roof
Adding garden boxes to the community garden
Awareness banners for the front of the church
Ongoing Affirm United work to make Camrose United Church a welcoming place for all
Promoting community groups such as FCSS, The Lending Place, The Open Doors, Changing Ways, the Camrose Library, and more.
